Visual Thinking Strategies, or How Looking Can Make You a Better Thinker, Communicator, and Collaborator

Visual Thinking Strategies (VTS) is a standard practice in museum education, but recently it has gained traction in the business world — led by forward-thinking organizations such as IDEO and others. While simple, the practice of looking and discussing in the structured VTS format has revolutionary potential for how we think, how we communicate, and how we collaborate. During the workshop, participants will have the opportunity to engage in hands-on practice with a variety of images in conjunction with an exploration of the applications for better creative and collaborative work.

Stretching Across Cultures: Intercultural Communication and Creativity

This interactive session will explore how culture and communication styles shape creative processes. Using engaging activities, discussions, and real-world applications, participants will gain insights into the concepts of individualism/collectivism, high/low power distance, and high/low uncertainty avoidance and how they impact creativity.
