REGISTRATION:
Q: What’s the easiest way to register for the conference?
The easiest way to register for the conference is online, starting in December. You will have the opportunity to choose your sessions and add in any additional information through the process. To make sure you receive all notifications, sign up for the CEF distribution list.

Q: When should I register?
Register right away to take advantage of early-bird discounts off the full registration price for individual and corporate registrations (no other discounts apply). Plus, inquire about discounts for registering groups of 5 or more.

Q: When is the last day I can register online?
The last day to register online is June 1, 2017.

Q: Do I have to pre-register for the sessions?
No you don’t. However, if you do pre-register online, you are guaranteed a seat in your chosen session. Workshops do sell out and only attendees who have pre-registered for the session will be permitted to attend.

Q: Can I walk in and sign up for the conference?
Yes, you can, but some sessions may be sold out.

Q: I can no longer attend, but my colleague can. Can my colleague go in my place?
Substitutions for paid registrants may be made at any time. Please email contact@CreativeEducationFoundation.org with written notice and include all pertinent changes for the substituting attendee. Refunds will not be issued for substitutions.

Q: Something has come up and I need to cancel. How do I go about canceling?
You can email cpsi@cpsiconference.com and we can cancel your registration. Please make note of our cancellation policy. Cancellations must be submitted in writing by email to contact@CreativeEducationFoundation.org no later than May 19, 2017. No refunds or credits will be given to registrants who cancel after May 19, 2017, or who fail to attend the Conference.

Q: What is the process to pay via check or wire transfer?
Please email contact@CreativeEducationFoundation.org for specific instructions on paying via check or wire transfer.  All payments must be received within ten days or your registration will be cancelled. Please note, discounts and seats in specific sessions will not be honored until full payment is received and may no longer be valid; see discount information below.

Q: What discounts are available?
A 30% discount is available to teams of 5 or more. Please email contact@CreativeEducationFoundation.org for further information.


ACCOMMODATIONS:

Q: Where is the Conference taking place?
The conference is taking place at the University at Buffalo (UB) North Campus. Click here for more information about UB.

Q: How do I get to the University at Buffalo?
The University is accessible by car, train, bus, and plane. Click here for useful travel information.

Q: Where should I stay? What hotel should I stay at?
Accommodations are available in state-of-the-art, air-conditioned residence halls on the UB campus or at local hotels. Click here for more information about housing.

Q: Are meals included? What about breaks?
All meals and breaks are included beginning with lunch on Tuesday, June 13, and ending with breakfast on Sunday, June 18.  Please note, dinner will not be served on Friday, June 16, as this afternoon and evening will be open and available for you to explore the greater Buffalo area.

Q: I have some dietary restrictions, what do I do?
Please indicate your dietary restrictions when you register and dietary staff from the University at Buffalo will we in contact with you prior to the conference to discuss meal options.

PROGRAMMING:
Q: Is there an orientation for first timers?
First-timers are welcomed with an orientation program to help you get the most out of the learning and networking opportunities at CPSI. The First-Timers Orientation program will bring you up to speed on what you need to know about the week’s events and connect you to other first timers as well as alumni.  The orientation will take place at 4:30pm on Tuesday, June 13.

Q: Will I receive the presentations and handouts from the sessions?

This will depend upon each individual presenter.  Please feel free to ask the presenter to send you additional information.

Q: Will there be an evaluation for each session?
Yes. Evaluation forms will be available at the end of each session and a final conference evaluation will be sent to you after the event.

Q: What workshops should I take?

Please see the First Timer’s page first for detailed guidance. If you are still having a challenge deciding which program suits you best, contact Steve Dahlberg at sdahlberg@creativeeducationfoundation.org. He will be happy to advise you.

Q: I’m a teacher, what class should I take?
We recommend all first timers to take Springboard to Creative Problem Solving. As an educator, you also might be interested in our Educating for Creativity Level 1 class.

Q: Is there a one-day option?
Yes, one-day registration is available for Wednesday, June 14, to participate in a day-long Spark workshop. Registration includes 3 meals.

Q: Is there a children’s program?
Yes, CPSI offers children from age 8 to 17 the opportunity to take part in the YouthWise program. Children younger than 8 will not be allowed to participate in YouthWise; families will be required to provide proof of age to ensure your child is old enough to participate. Click here for information about childcare options for children age 7 and younger. Please note that you will need to register in advance and that you are responsible for all fees, etc.

MISCELLANEOUS:
Q: Is there a dress code?
The dress code is casual.

Q: Do I receive a certificate for attending the conference?
We offer a certificate of participation but not a certification for a course.

Q: Are sponsorship opportunities available?
Yes. Please email Beth Miller at bmiller@creativeeducationfoundation.org for information on becoming a CPSI sponsor.
